Colour & Clarity.
Check text contrast, compare a brand palette, then work through the accessibility issues a calculator cannot see.
Check a colour pair
Opaque sRGB colours only. Enter 3 or 6 hex digits.

Text contrast ratio
AA text thresholds: 4.5:1 for ordinary text; 3:1 for large text. Large means at least 24 CSS px regular, or about 18.67 CSS px bold. Decisions use the full ratio, not the rounded display. These results do not certify a page as accessible.
Put your palette to work
Compare up to six colours. Each cell checks ordinary text at AA (4.5:1).
Check the experience
A short manual worksheet for a real page. These checks are a starting point, not a full WCAG audit.
The report includes the last calculated colours and your manual review answers. It does not fetch or scan the page you name. Save a report before closing this tab.
Know what this checks
Contrast calculations follow WCAG 2.2 for opaque sRGB text/background pairs. Suggested colours move the original toward black or white until ordinary-text AA passes; they are practical alternatives, not the closest perceptual colour match. Non-text contrast, colour blindness, font rendering, images, transparency, interaction and assistive-technology support need separate review.
- W3C: minimum text contrast and exceptions
- W3C: enhanced text contrast
- W3C: relative luminance calculation
- W3C: Easy Checks for a first accessibility review
- W3C: non-text contrast needs separate checks
